BULLSHIT!

Eating lunch today I came across an excellent episode of Penn & Teller's Bullshit. The episode highlighted the incredible failure that is known as the war on drugs. They claim a total neutral stance on the issue of drugs. Penn states that he has never once touched a joint or had a single sip of alcohol so their claims and views are unbiased. They do an excellent job and you can see it for yourself at google video.

Excerpt of the Day

Its a shame when you feel like you've been living the same day over and over again.

It only makes it worse when you hear this:

Woman: "Holy, do you live here?"
Me: "Sometimes it feels like it."
Woman: "Don't you have a life outside?"
Me: "Please, don't remind me."

... some call it dedication, I call it lack of variation.

Updates from the Shadowy Depths

Work Work Work & No Play Makes Mikey a Dull Boy.

The quality of life students endure is one not suited for anyone. Stress piles of stress heaped on top stress piles of stress is the way it is prescribed.

Just get it over with I keep telling myself. Put those feelings beside you, focus on the goal. But what am I putting out of my reach? Those small little things that bring me joy, YES. Not feeling guilty for any slight self-indulgence, YES! Feelings of tenderness replaced by solid unforgiving determination, YES. All these sacrifices for what? What I ask am I getting in return for temporarily neglecting my soul? You tell me.

Anyways, that dark note aside, I have done some major updates to my blog. As you can see there is now a link on the right side of this page which will take you to my Flickr photostream which delivers a frequently updated stream of myself and Melissa's photos. In addition, there is a handy little flash widget I found to stream my musical creations. Its quite nice; simple and efficient just how I like it. So satisfy your curiosity and take a listen. I assure you my sound is not any other sound but my own. (With the exception of "A Set to Remember" which is a collaboration of Matt Duchesneau's (MSD) music and my own.)
