Selected Ambient Works

Through the stress of the final weeks of the semester, I've been able to express myself through short bursts of creativity. This has taken the form of short melodies expressing various moods or atmospheres. Thus, my ambient works. (inspired in part by Richard. D. James)

Mike Linthorne - Yaben[v002]

Mike Linthorne - Forest Breath(Voices From the Mist Remix)

Mike Linthorne - Pricklepants

Mike Linthorne - The Cave

The last song, The Cave, was inspired by a cave we found in the valley next to our fort.

More to come..

The Home Row Adventures of Sly the Squirrel

Home row?

Yes, indeed. I intend on typing this entire entry with my fingers on the home row, in my attempts to reduce the strain on my tendons and thus reduce my carpal tunnel pains. Part of the reason I have been posting fewer entries is due to the pain I experience typing out long paragraphs of text. I seek to correct this. My (supposed to be) daily lessons with "Mavis Beacons Typing Tutor", are helping me learn to type properly.
Typing properly truly does help reduce the pain significantly, but trying break 10yr. old habits and the tedium of practicing new ones are both quite challenging.

But enough of my troubles,

Sly today was eating some organic tortilla chips I was feeding him and as I watched him stash the last one away, a nasty crow decided to intrude on his territory and eat some of his nuts. Sly wasn't much for this and bounded down the tree and went straight for the crow. He actually went all out and was bouncing off trees and actually managed to get the crow twice his size to leave. Quite a sight, I always knew he'd kickass. The crows are such an annoyance in the early summer, they become much more aggressive and noisy due to the mating season. I guess now you could say the tables are turned. >:)

I've been contemplating making a webpage to display the collective talents of myself and friends electronic music adventures and creations. It would be a site dedicated towards documenting our progressing talents. I think it would be a great project and am seriously considering doing it. Any comments/suggestions?
